Mint-marks

Mercuriusstaf : Mint-mark of the Dutch Mint.

Munttekens worden gebruikt om aan te geven waar de munt geslagen is, wie de ontwerper is, wie de uitgever is, enz.
Mint-marks are used to identify the mint, the designer or the distributor of the coin.
Münzzeichen deuten auf Prägestätte, Münzmeister und Graveure. In Deutschland deuten die Buchstaben auf die Münzstätten Berlin (A), München (D), Stuttgart (F), Karlsruhe (G) und Hamburg (J).
